AMPED Sports Lab & Ice Complex one of the first to install Illumisoft’s SaniLume solution, a locally designed and manufactured ultraviolet treatment device to continuously disinfect the air.
OTTAWA, CANADA: Illumisoft Lighting, in partnership with Modern Niagara, installs the first batch of SaniLume devices in an Ottawa fitness facility, AMPED Sports Lab & Ice Complex. Illumisoft hopes to see more organizations, like AMPED, embracing new technology, like SaniLume upper room GUV (Germicidal Ultraviolet), to help protect staff, customers, and visitors from airborne pathogens.
“Everything seems so much more difficult since the beginning of the pandemic,” says Brett Nicholds, CEO at Illumisoft Lighting. “So, we wanted to make something simple, something easy to install and use, but powerfully effective to help fight COVID-19, the flu and everything else out there, plus whatever comes next.”
The SaniLume uses UVC (Ultraviolet “C” wave light technology), which is germicidal – meaning it can neutralize and eliminate pathogens that pass through the projected UV treatment field. Additionally, SaniLume has extremely powerful but silent fans that continuously cycle air through the UV treatment area. One SaniLume device can disinfect the air in a 20’ x 20’ area roughly every 2 minutes, and you can add additional SaniLume units to treat larger spaces.
